Olyphant Not a Hitman?

SPONG reports

Because, MTV is reporting that Olyphant:
“…wants to set the record straight: He is not in the upcoming movie based on the "Hitman" video game. "God bless the Internet for putting it out there," he laughed, shaking his head.

"That sounds like a fun job, but that's not a for-sure thing." Olyphant added that he's barely familiar with the game, and there's a good chance that he won't end up playing the deadly Agent 47. "I'm familiar with the fact that there's this dude in a black suit and a red tie with a bald head who just seems to probably kick ass," he said. "But that's about all I know."

This was very coy. Actually there have been several other reliable sources that state Tim IS going to play the lead in Hitman.

**Yet a 2nd notice posted on MovieWeb says Tim has indeed officially signed up for Hitman and that production begins in March, in Europe.

First Deadwood Movie!

According to the Buffalo News: "Milch said he is collaborating with writer Evan Wright ("Generation Kill") on the first "Deadwood" movie, which will be set in 1879. "

"We're very optimistic about the outcome of that work," said Milch. "It's our intention that just the moment that we complete production on "John From Cincinnati' to begin work on that."
He added that series lead Ian McShane has deferred a Broadway role for two months to film the movie, the actors have signed contracts and everything seems to be going as planned.

Ian McShane Didn't Know Any Better

According to an article on the web site "AZ Central,"

Ian McShane only became an actor because one of his teachers saw it in him. "My teacher said, I'm going to do a play and you're going to play the part.' So we did it. And he said, I'm going to do "Cyrano de Bergerac" next year and you're going to play Cyrano.' I said, Fine.' I still see him now. He's an educator, I mean, you're lucky if you find someone like that. And he said, You ever think of being an actor?' I said, No, sir.' I do the play, finish and then go play football. Then he came to see my mom and dad and said, You know, I think maybe we should go to London. So I went to London and auditioned for the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts and got in. So at 17 off I went to be an actor, not knowing any better."
